Shan Jaffry (PhD)

Dr. Shan Jaffry is an Assistant Professor with the School of Internet of Things, Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University, China. He is also the Undergraduate Program Director for the same school.

He holds a PhD from Massey University, New Zealand, where he was the recipient of Massey University Doctoral Scholarship and received Massey University Dean's Graduation Award for completing my PhD within 3 years. He was IEEE Student Branch Chair at Massey University and revived the IEEE activities on the campus. 

Dr. Shan has also served as lecturer at Dongguan University of Technology (China), and Hamdard University (Pakistan).

Received Teaching Development Fund (TDF) at XJTLU:
Received Best Paper Award in IEEE ISTT 2020.

My paper (as 1st author) got acceptance in IEEE Communication Surveys and Tutorials, Sept. 2020. 

Received Best Paper Award in IEEE WCNC 2020.

Our paper got accepted in IEEE WCNC 2020. The paper talks about machine learning based anomaly detection in cellular networks. 

Received confirmation of Massey University Dean's Graduation Award for 2019.

Delivered public Lecture at Habib University, Pakistan. Topic: "5G Networks: What's New? Why the Hype?" (2020)

Successfully defended my PhD oral examination (July 2019).

My journal article got acceptance in IET Communications (2019).
